22 January 2014

Hi Scrappers,
It's Neet & today is my Wednesday to share with you all at SFS. I've got a little video showing how to mix things up
a bit with your Project Life.

I haven't dived straight into PL, I had to warm up to it.
I've down 2 albums of my sons baby pictures & to keep it interesting I've thrown in random 12x12 layouts.

I must admit I do miss the traditional 12x12 layouts
whilst doing PL & found it fun to mix things & throw in a
bit of paint, ink & gesso at a 6x4 cards.

So grab a cuppa & take a look :)

Why not have a play & experiment a little.
You might surprise yourself ;)

January Step-By-Step with Anita
Hi there fellow scrappers!
So it's my turn this month to show you a step-by-step for
Scrapbooking From Scratch.
I decided to mix things up a bit this month & do an art journal page.
I'm using a Dylusions art journal. These are great & are very sturdy.
Please be kind LOL - this was my first attempt at 'she art' styled art, & let's just say it didn't quite go to plan...
So grab a cuppa & take a look-see at the video.
*DISCLAIMER - contains cheesy 80's music PMSL

If you've loved the products I've used for this, like the Faber Castell Big Brush Markers, Dylusions art journal, Posca pen etc. Just pop on over to the SHOP or send Peta an email
Thanks for popping by :)

Fancy Pants 'Collecting Memories' Kit from Scrapbooking From Scratch

This is the Fancy Pants kit the lovely Peta at Scrapbooking From Scratch
has sent me so I'm just sharing a few layouts I have created with it...
This kit has since sold out prior me publishing this - BUT
there is still plenty of this paper collection available at the shop

'I Will Always Make Time For You'

This is also the November colour challenge.

'You Had To Be There Moment'

The background for this is using the tea stained technique I showed earlier.
I love outline things with black pen on my layouts & if you haven't tried it - grab
a black Posca paint marker from the shop!!! These things are awesome! They write
pretty much over any medium & very hard to kill ;)

Don't forget to head over to the SFS blog & try your hand at this month's challenges.
You could be in the running to win some SFS $$ to spend in the shop!

Here's my layout with Donna's Quote challenge...

Thanks for stopping by :)

 OCTOBER CHALLENGES OVER
AT SFS

So it's October already (I know, I can't believe it too)!!!
it's my turn for the quote challenge & here it is:

Here's my sample layout I did for it. This layout
cracks me up!!! This was my first B&S Ball
& I did in fact have a ball LOL. I used a wet tea bag & dylusions to create the background.
TIP: if wanting to do colours rather than tea colour,
use green tea bag with a splash of Dylusions Ink.
It seems fairly approriate given I am covered in
food dye myself LOL.

 Some close up shots...

I have used all products from SFS, apart from
the Flutterby flair & photo tab, & the Hybrid card I printed
out myself.

Here is Donna's sketch challenge

Here is Charm's Colour challenge

Remember to head over to the SFS shop for
all your scrapping supplies!!!

Simple Stories - 'Say Cheese' kit from SFS

So the lovely Peta over at 'Scrapbooking From Scratch' sent me up the cool
new range from Simple Stories 'Say Cheese'.

I love the colours of this range!! It is however based on Disneyland -
& as I do not own a passport & have never left the country, I show you how
to make use of the kit without that aspect :)

'You Make Me Happy'

(Please note I have added enamel dots & washi tape to this - which are not in the kit)

'Here's To Never Growing Up'

(Please note I have added Flutterby Flair & washi tape to this - which are not in the kit)

'Love These Girls'
(Please note I have added Flutterby Flair & a extra sheet of white CS to this - which are not in the kit)

So make sure you swing by the SFS store & grab this kit to play with!!!
Thanks for stopping by :)

20 September 2013

So it's my 'WOW' again over at SFS & this time I've decided to show you
all how to make a confetti pocket for your Project Life albums / Mini albums
(or really for whatever you like.

First you'll need a 3x4 PL card to trace around & a normal everyday
A4 plastic sleeve. Trace around the PL card to give you a size to
work off. Don't worry about the pen marks - they will be cut off later!

Then using your sewing machine, stitch the 2 sides & bottom about
(leave top open for now) 1/2cm in from the
traced edge (to ensure it's going to fit in your PL sleeves).

Grab some goodies to put in it, like wood veeners, sequins, glitter,
small punched shapes etc.

I recommend using a sheet of paper to work off - making it easier to funnel
your bits & pieces in when your ready. Once you have everything in
- stitch the top up with your sewing machine.

Then trim around cutting off the traced area - but not too close to the stiching.
And then Ta-Da!!!! Slide into your PL album. You may need to give the things a little
wriggle so they sit nicely in your album.

 Thanks for popping by :)

31 August 2013

Hey there fellow scrappers!!!
So the creative juices have been running non stop, since returning from
Camp Mojo the other weekend. This week I'm going to show you how to incorporate your
Project Life cards (c'mon I know you've brought some!!) into a traditional 12x12 layout!

I've started with a 6x4 Project Life grid card, then 2 other 3x4 cards from PL collections
(I have no idea which ones sorry) & then one more 3x4 card from Mambi
(gratiful set - I think LOL)
I've grabbed a sheet of kraft cardstock & smeared a little gesso over it.
I had a piece of scrap paper & a doily in my draw which I decided to use also.
I then began arranging my PL cards on my page. I've used a posca pen to
doodle on & around these...
And with a little more doodling, a title & I'm done!!!
Close up shot...
You don't have to purchase full PL core kits to get PL cards!
At the SFS shop, Peta has Mambi themed card packs for $5 or
1/3 PL card packs (depending on availabilty) for $12!!!!
So why not get a pack to try your hand at using them in a tradition 12x12 layout :)

Here's my layout I did for SFS August Colour Challenge. I've also used PL cards on this layout too. Some from PL, Mambi & Elle's Studio!!
Hope you entered a layout or 2 in any of the 3 challenges or if not have
a go at next months!! The link for these is HERE.
Thanks for popping by & make sure you head over to the shop for
any of your scrapping needs.
