{Project Life}
Riley's Baby Album 1-2yrs
• PART ONE •

I am SOOOO proud of how this album looks - my chest is puffed right out!
I didn't want to commit to the traditional weekly PL style, as I don't think I'd
find the time to get it done all the time. So I decided to pull all Riley's baby
photos out of the BORING photo slip albums & put together something
I'm proud to pull out & show off. And I might add that, he can have it
when they pry it out of my cold dead fingers bahwahahahaaa!!!!

I started this album in July & it has taken forever to get it done.
Firstly because it took so long for me to get my head around doing
Project Life style scrapbooking. I could never get the balance right!
Too plain & boring - or too overdone & I'd never fit anything in an album?!
So I searched googled, pinterest, countless blogs, & youtube videos trying
to find what I wanted 'my style' to look like. I found a few that were a bit more
arty, which I really liked & why wouldn't I want to bring that element to my PL
pages - as that's my normal 12x12 scrapping style!

First pointer I would give anyone that's going to tackle doing an album like this,
use all the photos you ALREADY have printed!!! Just make them work
- it will be ok!  There was a few I did need to reprint & of course my
6x8 enlargements, but the rest where all 6x4 photos, that I cut done to fit.
Secondly, get your photos in first & then fill in the blanks with cards.
I've prodominatly used Becky Higgins PL Honey core kit, but also
have Snap Everyday cards, Mambi etc.

I had also seen another lady's blog, where she had all her maternity pics &
everything Pre-baby in the front of the album - & that made ALOT of sense,
so I added in a couple more page protectors to do so.

So enough chit-chat from me. Here it is - my baby of my baby :)

Stay tuned for Part 2 ( I need to finish it first LOL)

Thanks for popping by :)

A Few Layouts...

Just sharing a few layouts I have recently done. I'm really getting into Gelatos & other
mixed media on my layouts. I get really excited that I can create a bright & exciting
background & it's absolutely unique (there's nothing EXACTLY the same).

This layout was inspired by a layout Shirel Studio had done.
I have just finshed the Pop & Colours online workshop. They had 9 different
step-by-step tutorials to create some amazing layouts.

'Love This'
Here is my Youtube video I created showing you how to do this background.

Anita's WOW Week -
'Beaut Day At The Beach'
So this is a layout I started probably over 2.5yrs ago LOL,
in my many efforts to tidy up my craftroom, I stumbled across it. I decided to give it a revival & finish it!

So I had the chipboard title 'Beauty' in my stash & I
wasn't sure which boy page to use it on ;)
I decided to cut the Y off to make it say 'Beaut'.
I had already painted it with acrylic paint & put glossy accents on it - but it was the wrong colour for what I wanted, so I grabbed a red Copic marker & it worked a treat!

I had also had the chipboard beach border, but I
really didn't want something that big on my page - so
I cut it up LOL - that's the beauty of chipboard, is that it's can be easily chopped & changed :)
The WOW products I have used are:
• chipboard title 'Beauty' WOW791
• 'Summer Beach Border' WOW985

Here's some close ups...

 Anita's WOW Week - 'BROMANCE'
Back again!! This layout is of my little dude & his mate Callan. The messy background pretty much sums up my day with this pair - they are like tornados!!!

I've used the following WOW products:
• chipboard '2013 Pack' WOW1741
• 'Classic Alphabet Uppercase' WOW1384E
• 6x6 Geometric Oblongs AltaMATZ ALTA189
• Chipboard polaroid frame

I've used Gel Medium & AltaMATZ over the coloured tea bag background I created (allow Gel medium to completely dry before adding to page). I have left the polaroid frame as is, & with the 2013 & the 'BRO' I have painted with nail polish.

Here's some close ups...

Anita's WOW Week - Project Life Cards

Hellllllooooo - so it's my turn again this week to
share some pretty stuff & decided to show you how
you can use WOW wood veneers & chipboard embellishments
in your Project Life projects.
I'm currently doing an album with my son's baby pics,
but will be starting another once I'm caught up with it,
about the 'Story of Us' (me + hubby).
So I made a couple of cards to go in that.
On this 6x4 card, I have used the wood veneer title 'Romance' WV050. We were headed out on a date night - so a tad appropriate. I don't like to alter my wood veneer most of the time - I like it as is, but you can if you want to.
This one is a 3x4 card, I have used the Mini Polaroid Frames WV012 & overlaid on my photo.
Here on this 6x4 card, I have used the chipboard
Chandelier RWL100062 & coloured it in using
a silver Posca pen (thinking near our wedding photos).
Pop back later this week, to see what else I have shared.
Anita :)
