25 November 2014

Hi fellow scrapbookers...
I'm back to share a layout I recently did using some AWESOME
2Crafty chippy!!

This title definately hits home at the moment - 'Happiness Starts With You'...

Here are the chippy pieces I used to create this layout:

Line Words - Happiness
Sqaure Collage Panel

I began with cutting the sqaure collage panel up into a few
different pieces first & then glued them onto my layout.
I then put a messy coat of gesso over the top, before I began colouring
my background with paint splats - so much fun!!!

Once my paint splats had dried, I put torn pieces of washi tape over my chipboard.
I then ran my layout thru my sewing machine -
YES you can sew over your chipboard!!! P.S. just go slowly though ;)

I kept the 'Happiness' line word raw, as I wanted it to still be different &
stand out from the bright colours of the background.

I hope I've inspired you to pull out some 2Crafty chippy & get messy!!

showing your boys softer side.

This is my little man meeting his little cousin
Charlotte for the first time - awwwww.

I love how this one turned out!!!

I've used Flutterby Designs - Flair button, Page tabs, Photo cut-outs.
2Crafty chipboard letters, AC Thickers, old book pages, Basic Grey paper,
TCW subway stencil, Faber Castell big brush markers, gesso, acrylic paint,
sewing machine, hole reinforcer stickers, enamle dots, thread & Posca paint pen.

Also the banner I designed for Scrap The Boys blog
was revealed also. What do you think??

19 October 2014

 Hey there scrappy peeps!!!
I'm sharing the layout I have created for 2Crafty Chipboard.
I have also used some Flutterby Designs goodies on here as well ;)

'Happy To Break Free'
This layout was a bit different to my usual style (at the moment),
whereby I actually used ONLY patterned paper - instead of white
cardstock LOL. I love how the chipboard pieces easily layer & create
different focal points.

I have used the Flutterby 'Words of Wisdom' stencil & some plain
texture paste on the background & added a flair button
& page tab as embellishments.

2Crafty products used are:
Doily Border
Happy - loopy font
Scrabble Tiles
ATC Hearts & Stars

Here's some close ups :)

I painted the 'happy' title with gesso & then used a posca pen to doodle
over the top.

With the scrabble tiles, I have left them bare except for the actual letter.
Which I have coloured in with a white posca pen.

With the doily border, I cut it in half & painted it with acrylic paint.
Once that was dried, I added dot details with a white posca pen.
I painted the small heart in the same colour & glued in the middle
of the camera image.

2Crafty - September Share

Hey there scrappy peeps!!! These are my
2 projects I have created using 2Crafty Chipboard.
Here's the first one:
'We Are Family'
2Crafty products used

Circle Revolution Frames
Circles (6x6 sheet)

 Family (Loopy font)

I wanted my photo to be the main focus & I
have not over-embellished. I've kept it all neutral colours.

I've coloured the 'family' using a silver pocsa paintpen & added
detail to the circles using a black pen.

Loving circles at the moment - how bout you?!

Next is an off the page project I created on an 8x8 canvas.

'Beautiful Minds Inspire Others'
This hangs on my craftroom wall - I love how it turned out!!
The 'beautiful' title really makes it pop!

Leafy Rounds

I have painted the 'leafy round' with gesso & then added pops of the teal & yellow colours on it.
I have painted the 'beautiful' title with acrylic paint & then added a coat of glossy
accents to give it an epoxy look.

Camp Mojo Retreat 2014
Hunter Valley NSW
I am a bit slow at blogging this, but better late than never ROFL.
This was the second Mojo retreat I had attended. It is solely about
scrapping with my favourite peeps for me! Here's some highlights:

Silly me can up with the 'brilliant idea' to make Holi powder so we could do
our own 'No Run Colour Run'! We had a blast!!!! So much fun - I can't wait to see
the rest of the photos. The fabulous Jen Hall took these photos!

Aparently we offended a few people for not including them -
this was organised amongst friends as a creative photoshoot & was never going to
be for everyone...

 A 6ft table all to yourself - you can't complain ;)

Here's a couple of layouts I did (there wasn't many LOL - I talked too much)
'Adorable You'
The awesome Eb van der Starre made
this one for me!!
I did 2 classes while I was there. This is the layout I did
in Ebony van der Starre's class...
'Today & Everyday'
This one was even left of my comfort zone - but I had a
blast!!! This was Lisa Oxley's class.
'Be Bold'
