March 2Crafty Layout

This month's share from me is a joint reveal for 2Crafty Chipboard &
A few of the 2Crafty DT are guest DT for this month's mood board over at SATW.
Here is the mood board inspiration created by Terhi Koskinen from Finland.

There are wonderful prizes up for grabs as usual!!

You can view all the details for their current challenge *HERE*.

Here is my take on the challenge...

'All Because Two People Fell In Love'

I loved this mood board as soon as I saw it & knew exactly what I wanted to do.
I started with lots of different textures (old book paper, gesso, washi tape, joint tape)
& began adding layers of colour over, using Gelatos, acrylic paint & inks.

I then I added some paper strips, black threads & 2Crafty chipboard
to create my layers before putting on my photo.
I've left the 'Circular panel' raw, as there is alot going on in the background.

With the 'Loppy Love' chippy, I painted it with a few layers of gesso
& then used black archival ink & a stamp to add detail to it.

Same again with the 'Chevron Bits', I left in it's raw state too.

Thanks for popping by & don't forget to have a go at this month's challenge
at SATW & be in the running for some fantastic prizes!!
There's even some delicious 2Crafty Chipboard up for grabs ;)

February 2Crafty Layout

 Hi 2Crafty fans!
I'm back to share another layout I recently created.
I love to create my own backgrounds & get messy!
I love to add layer, upon layer, upon layer...

 'Love This View'

2Crafty Products used on this layout:
Fiddlesticks Panel
Line Words - Happiness
 12x12 Alphabet - Dainty

Here's some close ups of my layout...

I've cut the edge border off the 'Fiddlesticks' panel & snipped out a few
other bits to break it up a bit more. I've left this one raw & used my
sewing machine to attach it to my layout.

I trimmed the line word 'love' up to make the ends not as long,
gave it a couple of coats with gesso & then used a fine black pen
to doodle in some detail. I also used a black ben to colour the word 'view'
in. I grabbed 2 of the off-cuts from the fiddlestick panel & stapled to
either side of my layout, to draw your eyes into the middle focal.

Thanks for popping by :)

2Crafty Chipboard - January Share

Let me be the first to say 'HAPPY NEW YEAR'!!!!
I cannot believe how fast last year went. My little man just turned 3 & #.2
is only weeks away from arriving (arrggg scary LOL).
This layout sort of represents last year in a way. I have met soooo
many wonderful people thru this hobby & I'm lucky enough to have made lots
of new friends.

I have SO many selfie shots just like this from retreats, I thought it was time I scrap
some of them. Of course I have used some AWESOME 2Crafty chippy!! :)

 'You & Me'

Here are some close ups...
The Hessian Patch, I've used a variety of acrylic paints & sprays to colour it.
I've also layered lots of messy black thread under the chipboard & used
a Flutterby Designs flair button & page tab cut-out to embellish it.

The title 'You & Me', I completely covered in a few coats of gesso
& then used a black posca pen to colour in,as well as the the ampersand.
Once that dried, I used a white Uniball pen to add some faux stitching
to add extra detail. I then grabbed some glossy accents & covered the
two words.
The mini camera was done the same way. I have left the
bits of the circular panel 'raw' & tucked in behind the other layers.

I love how much texture this layout has!! I've used the 'Words of Wisdom'
Stencil from Flutterby Designs.
Here are the chippy pieces I used to create this layout:

I hope I've inspired you to pull out some 2Crafty chippy & get messy!!

2Crafty - September Share

Hey there scrappy peeps!!! These are my
2 projects I have created using 2Crafty Chipboard.
Here's the first one:
'We Are Family'
2Crafty products used

Circle Revolution Frames
Circles (6x6 sheet)

 Family (Loopy font)

I wanted my photo to be the main focus & I
have not over-embellished. I've kept it all neutral colours.

I've coloured the 'family' using a silver pocsa paintpen & added
detail to the circles using a black pen.

Loving circles at the moment - how bout you?!

Next is an off the page project I created on an 8x8 canvas.

'Beautiful Minds Inspire Others'
This hangs on my craftroom wall - I love how it turned out!!
The 'beautiful' title really makes it pop!

Leafy Rounds

I have painted the 'leafy round' with gesso & then added pops of the teal & yellow colours on it.
I have painted the 'beautiful' title with acrylic paint & then added a coat of glossy
accents to give it an epoxy look.

Camp Mojo Retreat 2014
Hunter Valley NSW
I am a bit slow at blogging this, but better late than never ROFL.
This was the second Mojo retreat I had attended. It is solely about
scrapping with my favourite peeps for me! Here's some highlights:

Silly me can up with the 'brilliant idea' to make Holi powder so we could do
our own 'No Run Colour Run'! We had a blast!!!! So much fun - I can't wait to see
the rest of the photos. The fabulous Jen Hall took these photos!

Aparently we offended a few people for not including them -
this was organised amongst friends as a creative photoshoot & was never going to
be for everyone...

 A 6ft table all to yourself - you can't complain ;)

Here's a couple of layouts I did (there wasn't many LOL - I talked too much)
'Adorable You'
The awesome Eb van der Starre made
this one for me!!
I did 2 classes while I was there. This is the layout I did
in Ebony van der Starre's class...
'Today & Everyday'
This one was even left of my comfort zone - but I had a
blast!!! This was Lisa Oxley's class.
'Be Bold'
