Hey there fellow scrappers!!!
So the creative juices have been running non stop, since returning from
Camp Mojo the other weekend. This week I'm going to show you how to incorporate your
Project Life cards (c'mon I know you've brought some!!) into a traditional 12x12 layout!

I've started with a 6x4 Project Life grid card, then 2 other 3x4 cards from PL collections
(I have no idea which ones sorry) & then one more 3x4 card from Mambi
(gratiful set - I think LOL)
I've grabbed a sheet of kraft cardstock & smeared a little gesso over it.
I had a piece of scrap paper & a doily in my draw which I decided to use also.
I then began arranging my PL cards on my page. I've used a posca pen to
doodle on & around these...
And with a little more doodling, a title & I'm done!!!
Close up shot...
You don't have to purchase full PL core kits to get PL cards!
At the SFS shop, Peta has Mambi themed card packs for $5 or
1/3 PL card packs (depending on availabilty) for $12!!!!
So why not get a pack to try your hand at using them in a tradition 12x12 layout :)

Here's my layout I did for SFS August Colour Challenge. I've also used PL cards on this layout too. Some from PL, Mambi & Elle's Studio!!
Hope you entered a layout or 2 in any of the 3 challenges or if not have
a go at next months!! The link for these is HERE.
Thanks for popping by & make sure you head over to the shop for
any of your scrapping needs.

Camp Mojo - Hunter Valley 2013

So I have just came back from a great retreat!! I met so many inspiring scrapbookers &
my mojo tank is definately full! For anyone that hasn't experienced a retreat -
I strongly recommend you do.
I had butterflies when I saw a couple of people I really admired.
I was just hoping not to sound like a giggling school girl in front of them LOL.

There was also another super cool chick - sitting at the end of the table next to me - Lauren!!
She was funny & really lovely!! Here's a few snaps of us at the photobooth:

There was 3 lady's I knew from my area, Jo, Jodi & Tracey :)
Tracey & I were roomies & had a running joke going.
Everytime we spoke or got nervous about our scrapping idols we would joke
saying - "We're like this now" & crossing our fingers like this.

Here's a pic of the 4 of us in the photo booth - being incredibly stylish LOL

The scrapping area was HUGE!!! We had a full 6" table to ourselves!!!!!
Plenty of room to spread out (I'm a messy scrapper).

Group shot taken by Jen Hall :)

Here are some of the layouts I did:
The awesome Louise Nelson asked me to scrap a layout just for her - needless to say
I was was completely honoured & speechless!!! I was really nervous to begin with, but once
I found my groove - I was totally in the zone. I loooooooooove how this turned out!!!

August Sketch Challenge over at
The Scrapbook Store

So last night amongst the usual not-much-happening Friday night,
my fabulous friend, Kellie & I decided to set ourselves the same challenge
to get some mojo back & do some scrapping. It was quite funny scrapping
with someone via facebook & text messages! Highly entertaining -
especially when she broke her new sewing machine & I got a picture of her
hubby Matt, trying to fix it LOL!

Here is the sketch...

Here's what I came up with...

SN@P MINI ALBUM -
Holiday to Stockton Beach

Hi there bloggers!!! Here's a little something I've finished recently -
a Sn@p 6x8 mini album of our family trip away. I've kept the cover fairly simple adding a strip of washi tape, one of my PL cuts (custom cut of course), some shells I collected there & some enamel dots.

I downloaded a google map of our trip & printed it out as a 6x8 photo. I then used some floss & did some backstitching along the path we took, & stuck a couple of YAH symbols at both ends.
Watercolours add a great splash of colour to boring white backgrounds...
I collected some dry beach sand & put it into one of the 3x4 pockets & sealed it up with
some washi tape & glued a couple of really small shells to the front of the sleeve.
I love this photo! Riley took off up the beach & Chris chase after him.
I've used a black Posca pen for all my journalling & doodling on my photos.
