Operation #CREATIVEKARMA

I decided in early December I wanted to do
something to 'give back' in a way. So I came up with 'Operation #CREATIVEKARMA'
I picked people from my list of Facebook friends & snooped thru their photos that they had posted, picked out one of my favs & thought held a bit of sediment to them, to get a scrapbooking layout for them. A total surprise, no idea - I felt a little like a 'Secret Santa' LOL.
I am extremely happy to put a smile on some else's face with my simple gesture of creativity & hope that they love them as much as I loved creating them xo

2Crafty Post for May

Hi 2Crafty fans!
I've stopped in to share a layout I created using some fab chippy pieces.
This is Riley - my little terror. Having a scrapping mummy,
he has quickly learn't that I take photos ALL the time LOL!

 'Lucky You're Cute'

I have used a variety different textures/mediums/stamps/stencils
to create a grungy background. Strips of scrap paper, book pages,
washi tape, joint tape etc all stuck down, then gesso over (roughly)
the whole she-bang! I've used Gelatos & Colourshine sprays to add
in colour. The black splattering/dribbles is actually black house paint!?!
I borrowed this technique from the fab Lisa Oxley ;)

Once it was all dry - I went back in armed with a variety stamps & my
black archival ink & stamped away!
I then glued down 'nests' of black cotton & then put my 2Crafty chippy
over the top of it. I have left it raw in this instance & used my tiny stapler to
stick it onto my layout.

To finish off, I've used a few different embellishments - Page tabs, flair button,
different alphabets for title, enamel dots etc.

April 2 Crafty share

I'm back to share a layout I've done using some of the new 2 Crafty chippy pieces.
I LOVE how this one turned out!!
This is a picture of my scrappy friend Lisa Oxley at a retreat we attended
last August. The dreamcatcher chippy is so up her alley &
I couldn't think of a better person to use them with :)

'Dream Big Sister'

I've used a Flutterby Designs stencil ('Random Blatherings'), arcylic paint & texture
paste on so white cardstock. Once that was dry, I ripped it & other bits of
paper into strips. I began layering them the washi tape, joint tape & old
book pages. Once I was happy with that, I started splattering & putting
on layers of acrylic paint.

I've left the 'Dotty Bits' raw & used them to layer up over
my messy textured backround.

I've also used 2 'Dreamcatchers', I've used acrylic paint to splatter
randomly over these to achieve this look.

I've used a few other embellishments like: Black thread, Flutterby Designs flair button,
Thickers, Alphabet stickers & enamel dots.

You can view all the details for their current challenge *HERE*.

Here is my take on the challenge...

'All Because Two People Fell In Love'

I loved this mood board as soon as I saw it & knew exactly what I wanted to do.
I started with lots of different textures (old book paper, gesso, washi tape, joint tape)
& began adding layers of colour over, using Gelatos, acrylic paint & inks.

I then I added some paper strips, black threads & 2Crafty chipboard
to create my layers before putting on my photo.
I've left the 'Circular panel' raw, as there is alot going on in the background.

With the 'Loppy Love' chippy, I painted it with a few layers of gesso
& then used black archival ink & a stamp to add detail to it.

Same again with the 'Chevron Bits', I left in it's raw state too.

Guest Designer at Life Zesters

This month I'm guest DT over at Life Zesters Challenge blog!!!
This month's challenge is a mood board

Here is my take on the mood board!!
This was a 12x12 piece of cardstock, which I painted, inked, stamped
etc to create an awesome messy background, before cutting it up
to suit my pocket page.
I LOOOOOOVE how it turned out!!!

These pics are from a fantastic retreat run by SFS on the Central Coast.
Retreats are fantastic - if you've never been to one, I suggest you
do. You'll be hooked after that LOL ;)

I've used some Flutterby Designs goodies to embellish.
Wood veneers, Flair buttons & Page Tab cut-outs.

I have also used some washi tape, thread, thickers, hole reinforcer stickers,
enamel dots & overlay words...

Don't forget you have until the end of the month to enter in this month's
challenge over at Life Zesters.
