It's Neet & today is my Wednesday to share with you all at SFS. I've got a little video showing how to mix things up
a bit with your Project Life.
I haven't dived straight into PL, I had to warm up to it.
I've down 2 albums of my sons baby pictures & to keep it interesting I've thrown in random 12x12 layouts.
I must admit I do miss the traditional 12x12 layouts
whilst doing PL & found it fun to mix things & throw in a
bit of paint, ink & gesso at a 6x4 cards.
So grab a cuppa & take a look :)
Why not have a play & experiment a little.
You might surprise yourself ;)

January Step-By-Step with Anita
Hi there fellow scrappers!
So it's my turn this month to show you a step-by-step for
Scrapbooking From Scratch.
I decided to mix things up a bit this month & do an art journal page.
I'm using a Dylusions art journal. These are great & are very sturdy.
Please be kind LOL - this was my first attempt at 'she art' styled art, & let's just say it didn't quite go to plan...
So grab a cuppa & take a look-see at the video.
*DISCLAIMER - contains cheesy 80's music PMSL
If
you've loved the products I've used for this, like the Faber Castell
Big Brush Markers, Dylusions art journal, Posca pen etc. Just pop on
over to the SHOP or send Peta an email
Ok here's a quick little run thru on how I make some really cute & simple
mini albums... I made this one 6x8" (cover is 8x12" folded in half).
First thing I do is print my cover as an 8x12" photo at my local photolab.
I then glue & D/S tape (as I want it to stay together) to a sheet of manilla folder.
I trim down to size & allow glue to dry before folding in half.
I then round the outer corners.
Then I raid my scraps stash & paper off-cuts for my pages. These can be all different sizes & shapes,
as it creates interest in your mini. I then fold & score them in half.
I then start figuring out what order I want them in...
I then make a template to mark the 3 holes I need for my binding & then go thru & pierce
every hole. You'll need some twine & a sewing needle for this bit. Here is the youtube video
I got this binding technique from:
The only thing I've done differently is to finish the knot on the ouside on cover. So the first stitch is started from the outside (not the inside like she did) Like so :)
Here is a FREEBIE for you!! My cover design for you to print off &
create your own mini with :)
To download my book cover design, simply right click & save as.
It is designed to be printed as an 8x12 photo enlargement (matte works best!)
Here's video of my finished mini album, so grab a cuppa & enjoy :)
This is also the style/technique I used for my Dec Daily last year :)
Hey there, lately I've been dabbling in doing a few process videos & I love sharing
how my brain functions when scrapping. So below is a couple of photos of the finished layout & then at the bottom is my YouTube vid for you watch :)
Close up...
& the video - Enjoy :)

Anita's Week - More Techniques
Hi blogsters! Hope your enjoying all the love I'm sharing & that your brain feels like it's going to pop with ideas :) Today I've got another little technique video to share with you, using Altamatz.
I find after using gel medium, gesso, impasto etc on my Altamatz - a good wash with an old toothbrush (or your hubby's if he driving you nuts baaahaaaa!!!) gets all the paste out from all the nooks & crankies :)
I've got 2 more days left in my WOW blog take-over & so be sure to come back to check out my next couple of posts.
Thanks for stopping by :)

Anita's Week - Technique Video 1
In my take-over of the WOW blog, I done a short video on how I use my altamatz. Following on from Sue's great videos, here is a different technique. If you missed Sue's video's, here they are:
I also show you how to use watercolour paints & Copic Markers to colour & snazzy up your chipboard pieces.
Be sure to come back tomorrow to see what I've put up :)

Riley's Smash Cake Mini Album
Here's another mini (I know - don't groan)! This one has the stitched binding again. I love this mini! It is so bright & quirky. I did a 'Smash Cake' photo session with Riley for his first birthday. Smash cakes are becoming more popular & more expensive. I've heard of people paying $80 for a cake & then hire a professional photographer as well!? Holy doly - not me, I brought a lie from Etsy, the same material from spotlight & made a nappy cover, 2M of white block-out curtain material also from Spotlight for the backdrop, a piece of white corflute as floor mat & got everything ready & snapped away with my Canon DSLR. Handy hint though - it pays to have a few people their to help. Riley saw me perched on the ground at his level & all he wanted then was a cuddle, so we had to keep putting him back in frame. Also you don't want to get cake all over your camera (especially when your sister can get it all over her LOL! Thanks Beth).

I am the Mini Album Queen (LOL)
I am offically "obsessed" with these little stitched mini abums. They are so fun & quick to make, & they hold heaps of photos. This little one was made from the scraps of another one I made. I will link my YouTube video below for this. All the pages are folded in half, then simply machine stitch down the centre crease. Ta Da!!! Instant mini!!

Riley's 1st Birthday Party Mini Album
I made this mini album completely from scratch (yay me LOL). I used scraps of cardboard, cereal boxes etc. The paper range I've used is Kaisercraft 'Save The Date'. It is such a fun & bright collection - perfect for a party! I love the look of mis-matched albums, I find them more interactive & cool to look at LOL. It also allows you to get away with minimal embellishments, because essentially the pages are embellishments themselves :) The first thing I do when making a mini, is cut all my cardboard/chipboard to the sizes/shapes I want & work out order they will go in. I then go through & cover all the pages, before binding them. I purchased a Bind-It-All, solely for my love of mini albums. Then I went in with my photos, embellishments, washi tape, bling & pens to finish it off.
I love how it turned out. Such a great little memento from a great day. Below are some of the internal pages...
Also, here is my YouTube video I did on this project :)

'December Daily 2012'
Hi Scrappers I've have followed the herd & I have made a 'December Daily' mini for 2012!!!! I must say, I was keen to go out & by a mountain of the new christmas papers - but I restrained myself & you'd the stash of christmas papers I have hoarded for ages LOL!! Pretty much the only this I brought new for this album was a pack of the Kaisercraft 'Mint Twist' collectables & the photo print that I did to create the front cover! Bargin!! Here is the link to my Youtube channel & this project :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zaf1wl6Jfgg
